🌱 Our story
A simple idea around a canvas became something bigger.
Life Is Good Café started with the simple goal of creating a welcoming neighbourhood café in Woodstock.
The idea for Brush & Brew came from something equally simple: watching a family member paint with acrylics at home.
What if painting could be something people did together, rather than something you only did if you were an artist?
Our first Brush & Brew event took place in 2023 as a collaboration. It didn’t immediately take off, but we believed there was something worth building.
We started again in 2024, and this time it began to grow. As more people joined us, we realised something special was happening around our tables.

People weren’t just coming for coffee and food.
Couples wanted a different kind of date.
Friends wanted something fun to do together.
Companies wanted team experiences that didn’t feel like another meeting.
People wanted birthdays and celebrations to feel more personal.
And people were discovering that they could paint.
So we listened.
We kept experimenting, improving the experience and finding new ways for people to create together.
What began with a simple idea around a canvas has grown into Brush & Brew sessions, tote bag painting, private celebrations, team experiences and creative days out.
And we’re still learning.
Today, Life Is Good Café is growing into something bigger than a café: a place where food, creativity and community meet.
It isn’t meant to be a finished idea. It’s a place that grows with the people who walk through our doors.
